P0315 - Crankshaft Position System Variation Not Learned
The Crankshaft Position System is the system used to monitor engine speed / Crankshaft position. This is normally a sensor that produces a signal based on teeth / cut-outs on either the flywheel or crankshaft pulley.
This fault code will be logged when the ECM is not recognising the signal from the Crankshaft Position Sensor. If new parts have been fitted, these may need programmed to the system.
It is recommended to check the following systems and components.
